Neighbor shipped calves today. They sold on Superior at Winnemucca back the end of July. I asked how they weighed up. He said the steers were 4 pounds over and the heifers were dead on. They got about 25 cents over what the market is today. Selling on the video and contracting early, some times you win and some times you lose. My neighbor won today. A couple days ago he was saying that they normally ship the cut outs to the next sale. This year his dad was saying we will hang on to them for a while. He wasn't thrilled about this because he is the one who ends up taking care of them. I told him what I paid for heifers last week. He started agreeing with dad.
