I have a registered female santa gertrudis heifer and i have AI her twice and she hasn't taken but my registered angus female took the first time and they are the same age is it the breed or what?

You could be waiting too long to AI her. Brahmans need to be AI'ed when they come out of standing heat or right before. Usually 6-8 hours after the start. Could be the Brahman blood in her. Does you AI tech have previous experience with Brahman composite breeds?

One should not make generalizations of any breed based on the strengths or deficits of one individual.

Well i have used two different AI specialist also. The heifers are the same age. :?

Then it's probably either time for the vet to do a check or right her off. The vet can palpate the ovarys and the entire repro tract. He may even take uterine samples and culture to see it there is a ph or bacteria problem.
Who does the heat detection or are you breeding on synch. heats without heat detection?
Our girls and ladies get two bites at the apple, if they miss on the second service (if needed), they grow wheels.
Haven't had a cull for repro problems in years by selecting for fertile heifers/cows that ovulate at the normal time period and settle.
