How is calving ease and the longevity?

I know the guy I bought from had some double digit ones and was still flushing them. The guy I sold to also had some older ones still in the pasture with calves. Neither one complained of calving problems.

I've never heard of any issues like that either. My great uncle ran a nice herd beside us for years. Big ole good lookin cows that raised some big ole calves.

Yeah I seen some big ol gerts I bet some were 1600 or more. One of the ones the guy was flushing I think they say she weighed around 1800.

Really nice cattle. I have some star five cows. Too small of a sampling to be reliable, but they breed back slow. Have gotten rid of most of them. I'd like to try another set, I really like the looks of them.

Coincidentally, the magazine put out by TSCRA featured Gerts this month. They're some good looking cattle. Still the original color too.

u4411 Yes they are nice. I enjoyed looking at them, thanks for showing them! I think you need to call them Santaford cattle.

Here is a Gert x Charolais just before weaning and now as a four year old.
