I always treat my roller pump for the sprayer with oil when I lay it up for the winter. Last year I left the hoses disconnected when I layed it up. Last week was the first time I tried to use the sprayer. Hooked up the pump turned it on and it basicly broke all to ..... Turns out the daubers had gotten inside and built nests (didn;t think there was enough room but they found a way). When the pump tried to turn it bent the shaft to the tune of a new pump for 125 bucks.

They are horrible here if it has a hole they will plug it up. In all my pumps I put an oily rag around them any type electric power tool has to be put a cabinet they can't get in. Cover welding machines drill press etc. or they will ruin it.
Been to your rodeo got to ride and the t shirt, I have never figured an effective repellent for them
