Has anyone ever had to replace the stump jumpers on a bush hog? I bought a used TW96 Rhino and one of the stump jumper needs replaced. Call a local dealer and they wanted over 600$ for a new one ! Does that sound right ??

I saw a video on youtube about it.. I just searched and can't find it
I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted that much for it, but it's ridiculous

Is the original stump jumper damaged or missing?

I have it but where is bolts on is rusted out. Might just take it to a welding shop and have them fix it

I agree I would just get it repaired. That's one of those things that could get destroyed again quickly.

Has anyone ever bought a replacement? Do they really cost that much ??

I never bought one but I do know the have to be matched pretty specifically. They must be right size, same number of splines that must match and the gearbox has to match too.

Any repairs to them would need to get the balance right.

Exactly. And check the internal splines first to be sure it's worth salvaging.

There's a couple different part numbers for your TW96, but this should get you in the ballpark.

Count the splines on the gearbox and measure the outside. There are many available online that may work, for a lot less than $600.

I replaced one last year on a little Dragon 6 footer. Couldn't find the exact one it had, but found one a little smaller and just used longer blades.

Keep the old one, you can make a puller out of it to make removing them easy.
