Would 45% corn, 2% cottonseed meal and the rest cottonseed and soybean hulls be too high of a energy diet for replacement heifers? I need to get 1.25 pounds a day growth on them until June to reach their target breeding weight without getting them fat. I've never kept as many heifers as I have this year to breeding age and I'm looking for a cheaper alternative to bagged feed. They will be on free choice hay also.

I'd cut the corn down to about 30%, raise the CSM to about 10% and finish out with the hulls and feed about 10 lbs. per head per day. You'll get slow steady growth.
