I have a question for the ladies and of course the metrosexuals out there.

What is your favorite skin care products?

I have used clinique (sp) but it irritates my eyes so do not anymore, like lancome but it is pricey. I found a great product from beeceuticals called beyond body balm which is FAB for under the eyes ,really decreases the wrinkles and helps with all the wind and cold weather your poor face puts up with in the daily life of a farmer/rancher. The only problem is it has to be ordered and shipped in from the States and I have to pay a hefty customs fee for it.

Just curious as to what you use and find to work the best in all the conditions we put our sensitive faces through.

I hadn't heard of this before, so I googled it. I think I might order it...thanks for writing about it.

I did read today that the new line of Oil of Olay is just as good as the high end products like Lancome and Este Lauder.

I always used Oil of OLay products and people pretty much can't believe Im 44! Alas I am getting chunkier too so that helps smooth out the facial lines! haha

Lots of stuff and pretty cheap, but since they're in the US you'll probably have to pay customs charges. Might be worth checking out, though.

Uh, before anybody gets any wild ideas, let me explain. ;-) I had been using a certain after shave for years when all of a sudden I couldn't find it around here anymore. So I thought what the heck, googled it, and came up with this site. I actually pay less, with shipping, than I did 10 years ago at Bergners. Might not be the case for you Canadians, though. Good luck.

Van, I have total admiration for you...I mean that sincerely... :D

I've never heard of anyone making their own facial lotion before but then half the stuff I see marketed for womens faces are kinda odd too. What does this stuff look like Angie? Is it scented? I have often wondered if the green goop in the stock tank could be mixed with the Foggybottom gumbo clay I had on my old place would make a good marketable facial lotion for the gals. Give it a fancy name and they might just buy it!

I am thinking you might be pretty familiar with it, seems to me the recipe I use is out of Tx ~ it is white like store lotion, but not as thick as the stuff you buy in the store. It does not have a scent I can identify, but it smells good enough to eat! I would not attempt to duplicate it myself, but I am thinking you could mix aloe vera in with it.

Sounds like you and MM have the same skin care regime. :pretty:

ps ~ sorry for running off with your thread HD, the nights get long.......

I use Mary Kay products. They have a great eye firming cream. It has really helped with the wrinkles I have around my eyes. Now if I run out of the MK stuff I use a little Bag Balm. I put it on the night before and my skin feels really nice the next morning.
Now there are some people who make soap and skin care products out of goats milk. I love their soap and when my hands are really dry I use the Body Butter. Gave a jar of that body butter to my grandmother and she just loves it. Now both of these come scented. Love the raspberry soap and the Goats and Oats body butter.
