Well , This really sucked!!
My broodmare that I've had alot of hopes resting on , got some kind of "Fungus" in her respitory tract, I took her to Elgin , where they scoped up her nostrils, found out that she had a tumor or some kind of fungus that was swelling up and making it very hard for her to breath, They said that they could do a trachiodomy I'm sure I misspelled that, ( Cut a hole in her wind pipe) And then ddo exploratory surgery in to her head to see what was doing all of the swelling, Basically they told me that putting her down was probably the best choice.
Took her back home for the weekend, tried rubbing DMSO paste all over the swelling, no help!
Over the weekend a buddy came over and used his back hoe to dig a grave.
Waited for the kids to go to school monday, and then I put her down.
Alot of dreams went down with her , She had King P234, Old Sorrel, 3 bars , Steel bars, Poco bueno, and a lot of the Wagonner stock.
I have her first born colt, but we gelded him , so that's the end of that.
She will be missed , she was allways a pleasure to ride.
