I don't think it would matter that much because the science has advanced so far. The last bomb the US set off sent radioactive dust over 100 miles and wreaked havoc in this zone. Just imagine what would happen if they got a ship into a busy harbor somewhere and set one off.

FIRST OF ALL if you think you're anywhere close were there might be an attack and you do not have potassium iodate pills you're not prepared. I would say at least a 30 day supply so you can get out of the radiation Zone if necessary. Then you need food, enough to escape or run farm equipment to feed yourself) protection, first aid, energy(solar, generator), seeds, fishing supplies, bleach for water purification and a water filter, fire starter. Plenty of flashlights or lanterns for black outs with no power. You should have enough food or at least a couple months. Thats my suggestion.
After the 1am M5 is in my hall about to shoot me(wasn't) I fell back asleep and dreamed about bombs being dropped.. up at 4:30am...ugh...
I'm going to ask my husband about potassium iodate pills...might be something to invest in.
He's wanting night vision things, but is trying to figure out which is best battery wise. Some suck down the batteries. He mentioned one and a option for batteries, but I wasn't listening good enough to remember..Whether you'd need one in a war situation, he wants one anyway. I think he wants a scope, but also a handheld. The scope will be the cheaper type and the handheld the expensive, I did listen long enough to hear that part...

My cows have the best hygiene in the region. I even clip the tufts of hair at the tip of the vulva. I am very fastidious. I guess it goes back to my ROTC training. Not a hair out of place!
