I did'nt say Braunvieh have Brahma in them. I said Sim...Bra..vieh have Brahma in them. And I said they looked good. I'm sure it is the Braunvieh influence tho.(Insert smiley here.)
 
Ok, To me he looks like he is back at the knees, very crooked behind, not deep enough, and bad headed. Not bull material. The first 2 pics of the other calves look way better to me, mutch better legs but still not deep enough.

I help manage a ranch that has some Gerts, and I like a good one for a hot wet area. The ones I like are deep, thick, strait legs w/ short cannon bones, with a square head. They show a little more of the shorthorn influence and cross great on good angus bulls(if you can find one).

I will have to say that I am disappoointed in the pictures I took of the bull over the weekend, it was cold and I was hurrying because I was freezing. I would much rather see an animal cleaned up and slick not with the winter fur. To his defense he is at that adolscent stage (that's what I call it) when they aren't a calf anymore but havent' grown into what they will be, and he may grow up to be nothing more than a salebarn bull.
We honestly don't know what we will do with him, we have talked about keeping him for the commercial heifers. I just wanted some input from other breeders. Thanks for everyone's input, good or bad.
I'll put pics on in the late spring/early summer.
