Just went to fill my car and after Shell and BP saying they have had good profits this year, up 30% and 48% respectivly, they have put up the price of petrol here.....I have paid a record amount of £1.30 a litre, which works out to £5 a gallon, that is equiverlent to $14.30. When I worked it out into $ I just put $285.00 worth of gas in my car and that will if I am lucky last about five days. :cry2:

Yup I filled up my pickup with 87 octane gas last week.... wasn't even empty and it cost $97

Around $100 dollars a week for diesel in my Dodge right now.

Diesel is high, but it still beats driving the gasser I had.

Dodge Ram 1500 gasser - 1000 mile trip @ 14.5 mpg = 68.96 gal x $3.50 = $241.36
Dodge Ram 2500 diesel - 1000 mile trip @ 16.5 mpg = 60.60 gal x $4.00 = $242.40

Wife's 2006 VW Jetta TDI

1000 mile trip @ 40 mpg = 25 gal x $4.00 = $100
