should pearl millet be planted by it,s self or can you plant rye, and pasture mix with it? i plant rye for winter green for my cows.

Lately......late October....lets just say AFTER its cool enough and wet enough not to die from lack of water and hot temperatures....

12 if drilled into prepaired seed bed....

Millet is a summer crop not a winter one. No matter the variety. First frost will kill it.
