Searched all the topics on pearl millet and I did not see if you could get more than one cutting of hay. Does anyone know if more than one cutting can be made if the rain falls right?

yes if you get the rain you can cut it more than once I usually got 2 cuttings at least in your area you may even get 3 as I always disced mine under so I could plant Rye in sept. plus you can plant your probably a month earlier than I could in Missouri

One cutting that is very good second cutting more mediocre and if a third even worse than the second.
I worked for a guy around waco who planted pearl millet and he got 2 cuttings in an avg year pretty easy. After that he would usually disk it under and get ready for some type of winter crop.
