Over seeding rye grass

Is over seeding rye grass a good option or do I need to bust ground Up. South west Louisiana it's still in mid 60s here

Just spread it, it'll come up. That stuff will grow in the bed of a pickup truck.

It will come up with good moisture but you can sure lose it if it gets dry.
Notill or at least drag after you put it out.
You will get more reliable results.

While I agree that notill or dragging would be best, if there is plenty of moisture and it is touching the ground, it will come up.

It's never dry in Louisiana I'll be good on moisture

Shouldn't have problem with getting dry Louisiana is always wet

Sling it out tomorrow. Your ground should have enough moisture after this rain to kick it off.

We wouldn't have any problem with moisture here in Va.... We'll just SNOW :shock: seed it and let the 1-2 inches of rain we are supposed to get this weekend "wash" it down into the ground as the snow melts... :???: :???: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: and then down the river to the next place.... :bang:
