It is funny how there is this notion that a big girl may have twins…we do it here too so no judgement! Often we discover the ones that look like twins just have a single and the ones we don't expect pop out twins. Can't wait to hear the results. Divided thoughts in this family…we expect a follow up post @Josher

She was AI'd to Resource June 19. Will see if she caught. Could be a week or 2 from calving if she caught. So of there's more calf in there it would show up on the right side? And I will post again what the outcome is

My vote was a single calf. We did not consider size when we passed the pic here at home…single or twins was the question to the room. To me she looks contentedly well fed and getting close.

My dad had an old cow that was as wide as she was tall. Everyone expected a multiple birth for sure... and after waiting patiently she went well past the date she should have calved and it turned out she was open the whole time. One of my earliest lessons...

I sure hope not lol. We did get them Preg checked in fall so they should be good unless they slipped a calf. Thanks, they've done quite well this winter on the feed and easy winter

Sounds just like our old Steamroller - and she came by her name honestly. Friend was over and asked when she was due. Ummm, that's her month-old calf next to her. You could never tell she was bred just by looking at her and weighed in at 2300 lbs. heavy bred. But that fat girl calved like clockwork!

@Josher What are you thinking? Twins? Triplets? Been a few of those on this site, this year. A large single? or are you just white knuckling it…

I vote single. Cows tend to lost a bit of weight when carrying twins - compared to contemporaries.
