I had a heifer all synched up to breed this evening. Everything was going well. I found the cervix, got the gun started........................10 minutes later I am still trying to get the pipette into the cervix opening. The cervix felt like it was 10" long and finding the beginning was like a needle in a haystack :???: . I finally got it to go through but before I gould depress the plunger she lunged forward and pulled it out. After about wearing myself out I finally got it to go through again. I hope she wasn't stressed so much she won't stick. She is fairly docile so maybe it will be ok. I am so frustrated with myself. The hardest heifer I ever had to breed. :?

That can be a real pain. After all that work and you wonder if she took. Oh well, it could have been, wham, bam, thank you mam and it still missed. You'll know soon enough.

the good thing Hoss is that those are the kind that you learn from.

Like my daddy use to tell me....

"He77 boy, if it was easy, any da_ned fool could do it."

I can remember a lot of the cows that made me work and made me better. A good many of them did in fact settle.

With AI you give em your best shot and get ready for the next one.
