One of our Sim bulls today

Solid red would look better, but other wise he looks like he should get some pretty calves out of him. Beef Maker is a pretty good bull, don't know anything about Big Sky.

I prefer the white on my simmentals. Most of mine are black with white on the face.

This is one of his calves. She was born this morning 68lbs out of a 5 yr old Goldmine cow.

This is another calf from my bull. This is a 2 1/2 month old steer. The cow is probably right 1300 lbs for reference.

O.S. how do you market your calves? Used to run all Fleck but when the black fad started here took a hit at sale barn on calves.

The last few years we have just been selling ours from adds on craig's list. Since we are only selling about 20 or so feeders we have been lucky to sell them to people within 30-50 miles from us. We have actually never taken them to the sale barn. We us to sell to a middle man cattle guy and we would give us a little flack for having the mixed colored calves. Even though he would say ours look better then a lot of other calves that he has seen. We like to say our red ones and red & whites just look a little more like they will when the hide comes off.

Thanks fitz...... The cow's a little bit of weirdo but she has calves and she's mean.

That's what used to get me. Calves looked as good or better, just weren't black. Used to have all of them marked like your steer posted.
