How many jobs were lost when it was 4.00 a gallon. ?????? Hundreds of thousands I suspect. High gas and fuel effects every single industry and American in America . over paid oil workers are only a tiny fraction of the workers in USACaustic Burno":oy8htmfq said:M-5":oy8htmfq said:Low gas prices puts more money in the economy which helps all businesses.
Last time they cratered like this we lost over 60,000 good American jobs as well as several
American companies to foreign intrest.

But I feel for all the workers that are being laid off because of the low price of oil. I can afford to pay a little more for fuel, but this is sure nice.

High oil prices make everything more expensive.

I see small business hiring and expanding cause people have a few extra dollars in their pockets. It is helping everyone directly or indirectly
When the price drops enough there is a lot of it happening around here.JMJ Farms":242m8xna said:True Grit Farms":242m8xna said:You also have to look outside of the pump. Fertilizer is half price now and lime is down $9. a ton.

This is probably a dumb question and the wrong thread, but can you, or has anyone ever forward contracted fertilizer?

I'm not smart enough to make that work. Sure would be nice though.

This is we're you have been fooled your government makes more off a barrel than the companies.
Do you have any clue how many times that barrel is taxed.
The national average is .47 cents a gallon on gasoline at the pump that doesn't include the tariff at the port or the royalties on the government leases. The refinery is taxed along with the pipeline and tank farms.JMJ Farms":3b6zchhf said:Caustic Burno":3b6zchhf said:True Grit Farms":3b6zchhf said:We sure don't need a $10.00 a barrel tax, that much I do know.
