North Texas and Oklahoma

Forecast has been calling for rain off and on for weeks and nothing more than a sprinkle at best. Have already started having to water yard plants and was going to start pulling hoses to water the lawn today. Not sure but I don’t recall the forecast calling for much more than a quarter to half an inch....started raining about 3 this morning and dumped 3.2 inches by 6 am. All from the lower left end of greybeards posted picture.

Power is out here, after several hours of wind and maybe 1" of rain.
Radar shows the long weather making train has moved East into & over my area and farther into La, but is now more of an East/West track than the more South to North track yesterday. should clear out from the West in a few hrs. We honestly needed a bit of rain.

We lost power too. For how long I don’t know. May have just flickered. For us it was a welcome rain for sure. Our hay is in the barn and now the pastures are watered. Cornfields around here are happy now but I imagine a lot of hay got wet.

We may get a little more later today but for the most part, it has all moved off due East.

Mid part of the country seems settled down again but Ohio Valley is still very much UNsettled and up into the Eastern part of the country and Ohio Valley will see more rain..

Talked to someone near Tyler and they got 4 1/2" of rain in the early morning hours and right before dawn.
The Great Electric Eel in the hinter world is again generating voltage and I'm back on commercial power.

Got a little rough here as we had a brief tornado touchdown about 4 miles from me doing little damage. Some of folks south and southeast were not as lucky.
