You are right I mis-spoke but it is in the amendments. The example I was trying to establish that no one will recognize is that exact attitude of because some who is eligible to vote did so and because you are different in your agenda its OK that you are called names and chastize. A long rant about discrimination and how it got to be this bad - my own opinion - a non US of A resident.

As an outsider - and Canadian - this is what the rest of the world sees - at least through my eyes as a non-resident who has traveled through Europe and Asia and seen how the US administration is talked about from a non-elite view. I do not believe the people of the US have a bad taste in their mouth for Republicans (even though you do Sky) - or Democrats either for that matter. So I take you to task on that comment Sky

I do wonder how anyone could vote for the obama administration with the simple health care issue as a prime example of true federal screw up and "hurt to the public" - yet he gets a free ride - why? Because he is black and whites are called racist for complaining about a black president. There it is said. And then throw Reverend Jesse Jackson in to the mix along with that Al Sharpton and you have it even worse. The you have the black panthers intimidating folks at polling stations and the beat goes on. (What school of divinity DID the fine reverend ever attend?) What they do have is a bad taste in their mouths for liars and cheats and racial dividers and double standards.

The United States is in huge trouble today simply because of the media and uneducated population. Yeah, the uneducated population - which has HUGE percentages that have no clue about what happens outside their own 10 mile living zone. Sky your comment made me say the above and DMF is the same from his area - you folks are so divided you are in trouble. Respect for the US of A and the US president on an international scale is at an all time low. Racial and discrimination within the US of A is at an all time high.

I place this squarely on the back of the residing ruler in the White House - Barry Obama - a man who spends millions in legal fees every year to prevent anyone from seeing any of his past records that matter - a man who goes out of his way to create this division - starting right from the day he won the Nobel Peace Prize for "FUTURE CONSIDERATIONS". LOL! Even the world governments and media got into it - he was lauded and awarded for doing NOTHING - but the people of the US clapped their hands and refuse to see anything - because if they do they are considered racist.

Have you ever read the fairy tale the Emperor Has No Clothes? If not you all should. And the media and the population fawn over him because of his skin colour and not his lack of substance and give him a free ride in fear of being called racist. He has been an abject failure and the US is in trouble.

But he is in power because more than 45% of the US is in government welfare of some type - and that is powerful - if you were a recipient would you vote to cut off that money? H.e.l.l. no and never forget "Yes we can!" I do not care about the opposition and how they had no one worth running the country - and anything else under the sun - the fact is Barry Obama is the president and he is ruining your country. A Democrat. And he is successfully doing it by dividing the country and I fear for you all. Because no one has the gonads to call him on it.

Racist - a cheap word that no longer means anything simply because now there are racists who are NOT white! Discrimination in the US of A very likely will continue to grow. It will grow along three lines in my opinion - Black, White and Brown. It will also be gun owner vs non gun owner - witness New York. It will also be religious - witness Detroit the largest muslim community in the US vs the Bible Belt. It will also be taxes for the rich who actually provide employment for others against taxes for those who do not strive to provide for their own. It will ALL be encouraged by the White House Administration and here is one small example.

The knock out game. Many black on white attacks - some charges of assault. A recent white on black attack. The charge? Federal Department of Justice lays HATE crime charges. Why? Because it helps stir the pot. Do not think for an instant that did not come from the very top. Barry and his boys were WAITING for this to happen so they could lay a hate crime charge - it further widens the voids.

From my limited readings of this thread, it seems Sky does not see it and JO does. Jo I do not always agree with you but I always read your threads. In my opinion it took big gonads to start this thread and I have a great deal of respect for that. It has all been reversed and it means the US of A has been knocked back more than 50 years.

And those little signs that started this thread come all the way from the top!

The above are the views of a person who does not live in the US of A and indeed has many family and friends in the US of A. I wonder why I see it this way and yet a minimum of 50% of US would simply look at me and tell me I am the problem!

In CA a while back we had an initiative on the ballot. It was clearly an anti-guy initiative, Prop 8 as it was known. It was run, developed and orchestrated by the Mormon "Church."

The chant back then was by those apposed?

If your bible is full of bigotry and hate, you mush have voted yes on Proposition 8.

Hate is hate. No matter whether you have a top rated TV series or a large church system.

Let's see how this all shakes out when the 99% eventually go after the 1% and take our country back from those that have destroyed it.

The "occupy movement" is supposedly the 99ers--the 99% that doesn't have 99% of the wealth. That wealth, depending who you believe, is in the hands of 1% of the US population. The 99ers want that wealth redistributed from the top back down to themselves. Ok, but what then?
The 99ers will have the wealth, but not evenly. Soon enough, (immediately after getting that wealth) they'll start looking at who now has the bigger part within their own group, and again demand those folks give it up--that is, that 99% will look at their top 1% and strip the wealth from the 1%, making the entire group now 98%.
Soon enough (again, that 98% will cast greedy eyes on their upper echelon, and want to strip the top 1% of their wealth, making the group the 97%ers. This will continue as long as a single person has more than another. At some point, if history holds true (and it always does) each of the group will eventually find themselves the target of those who covet what others have. GimpyRancher, Me, You, everyone with anything someone further down the financial ladder doesn't have.

I think anytime there is an insinuation that another human being is inherently inferior because of his race or ethnic origins raises the bar of disgust to a much higher level than denying someone the right to exercise a constitutional right. Both are abhorrent. I am not a Christian but I adhere to many Christian doctrines. One of those is that men are created equal. The sign denying a man access because he is a negro is disgusting. The amount of melanin in the skin that covers your heart and mind should not have anything to do with it.

A story about ethnic origins. When I was in Denver, I was a member of a sextet of guys who went out drinking one night a week to Dixon’s Bar and Grill on 16th Street. There were two Hispanics in the sextet. I will use the name Garcia for one and Hernandez for the other. Garcia was from a Ranch in northern New Mexico and the other was from Albuquerque. We got on the subject of the ethnic origins of Mexicans. Garcia was doing a tap dance distancing himself from having a Mexican label placed on himself. He was saying his family had aristocratic Spanish blood and they avoided mixing with the native Americans and Mexicans. When he got through, one of us ask Hernandez about his background. He says, “I am just a f**kin Mexican. But that is better than being a f**king inbred Spanish-American like Garcia.” The subject never went any further. Garcia never said much the rest of the night.

my son is 7. teacher jsut sent home a black history month school project. now im not prejudice ive got friends of all kinds. but honoring them cause of thier skin color seems wrong to me..i get the accomplishments and all but they didnt do it cuz they were black....but if they werent black we wouldnt be doing the project...cuz we didnt do one on henry ford..or rudolph diesel..or louis pastuer or any other people who have dont great things..betsy ross..george washington...you get the drift..i think ill be battling the school or he will fail the project
