Matt Shaub will be lucky to finish the season alive. The Texans really got themselves in a pickle on the salary cap. They once had one of the better offensive lines, now it is very suspect. Shaub keeps getting hit like he did on Sunday, we will be seeing his backup soon.

The only observation I've made this early on is that the officials are the worst I've ever seen, where did they come from the big 12? :P . Last nights game had one of the worst calls ever. Russell Wilson will be the first quarterback to throw a game winning interception.

I'm still cheering for the guy, but he ain't getting better. He's past his prime and Denver was hopefull enough to give him 95 million $. Broncos are screwed for years to come with salary cap issues.

Had a fellow tell me today that NFL had offered the refs around $160,000 per year for a 20 week year. First class travel on airlines, best hotel in the city and all other expenses paid in full by the league. $8000 a weekend ain't bad for a part time job.

Tb,not really sure what refs were making before, but im sure this raise for the refs is just pocket change for the owners.Its just too bad it took a call like that and a win away from a team and give it to a classless headcoach like pete carroll.

Absolutely HC....back in my days of hitch hiking from Aggieland NZ was one of the places a car load of "horns picked me up and gave me a ride. No idea what they were doing there but it was a fun ride. Took me all the way to Crockett. Picked me up right under the underpass there....is it still there??

Problem with Shaub is no wheel's at all. None Zip Nothing.
Shaub is not one of the tougher NFL QB's that is for sure.
I am a Texan fan and as far as I am concerned if Shaub goes down again it is time for Yate's to move to starting status and keep it when Shaub get's well.

Oh I agree that's not a lot of money but it's a he77 of a lot of money for a part time job. Most of those guys have full time jobs as lawyers, administrators....all professionals. As for Pete Carroll....he may not even have as much class as Jerry Jones but he's won everywehre he's coached (like him or not).

Yep still there, my uncle many years ago was one of the county commissioners for about 30 years...Kemi Limousin one of the early contributors on this board has her farm there as well.

I watched parts of a couple of games and it was really funny how short the honeymoon was with the refs. All sweetness and light in the early 1st quarter and pretty nasty by the 4th.
