I love your signature.
I've use that trick on my 15 year old gelding since he was 2, and he always falls for it. If I have a carrot with me I break it and he stops dead in his tracks. For the past five years I haven't taken carrots into the pasture, but if he thinks he hears one break he comes right up to me and sniffs my hands.
