New Heifers

Grass is treating the new heifers well almost 2 months in.

Another heifer update. Have them in a pasture with one the one calf that was born here last year weaning. They are doing well. Happy with them.

Probably will see a bull in March. They have cycled a few times since I've had them.

Heifers have found their winter coats. Still doing well with a fresh roll of hay this cold evening.

Almost a year in and the heifers have grown and look to be bred. They were exposed to a bull from Feb 14th - July 4th.

Happy with them still, been very easy keepers.

I think so too, thank you.

Just pasture, mineral, and city water. A little feed occasionally to catch them.

I learned they don't like being pinned up much, but are pretty docile in the pastures. Still what I consider tame.

Curious how they'll be with newborns? Might not tag those calves for a while.

I really think the city water in my ball waters makes a difference with my herd. We have some pretty good pasture too, but it is getting dry. Thankful for the rain last night.

I have 3 red heifers that are pretty similar if it ever gets too cold for them up there. LoL
