I got some new glasses during lunch today. The prescription changed just a little bit. Over the past 5 years it's been changing just a little bit year-to-year. At this rate I'll probably be blind by retirement. Anyway, they're really messing with me. I always forget how bad the adjustment period is. I'm nearsighted, so my glasses always make everything look far away.

I had my yearly eye dr appt a couple weeks ago. They said nothing had changed. No new prescrip nothing. Eye pressure very good, couple of floaters the same, "baby cataracts" same size and he said they are on the outside edge of the eye and I may never have any problem with them. I am very thankful for that. I have the "progressive lenses" but have to take off my glasses for reading and often take them off for the computer. I get headaches if I read with them even though the progressive lens is supposed to account for that. They do help in the barns when I am testing to look at the cow numbers coming in the parlor and then down quick to jot them on my little pad. BUT, I have a pair strictly for distance that I wear on the tractors. It gives me a headache to look down and catch the "progressive" part when I am still looking a distance away at the rake or equipment and it is blurry. So the straight distance lenses allow me to see everything clearly that is more than 6 ft away, and it is clear to the edge of the glass lenses. The progressive is blurry around the edges; especially looking down into the "reading" part.

Got my first pair this past year. I waited too long. The regular glasses had me all screwed up trying to adjust. I got my prescription in my coasta sun glasses and I took to them really quick. Over time wearing them I was able to adjust to my regular glasses. Now it gets me not having them on so they got me on the hook good.

Just got a new set myself last week. Needless to say I've been high stepping over the least of things on the ground.

Dang Dr. told me to look forward to cataract surgery in the near future . Good thing is it’s just the right eye, back rifle sights might be in focus again.

Nothing to it anymore CB. Doesn't even make your eye red.

my wife had cataract surgery on both eyes....one eye and waited two or three weeks then the other and she said it was the best thing she ever did....did away with her glasses...
surgery was fast and simple...

HA HA HA! I got a new pair in the summer one year and changing irrigation the first couple of times was pretty interesting. I remember it being windy and the alfalfa was high so everything was really off. Right now I'm having depth perception issues. Reaching for water at work is off, it's like I have to keep going to get to it.

i've been wearing tri's for a couple of years , I climb to much for progressives . My depth perception is off when I dont have them on hence the fall back in January. I got a new pair the first on January only a minimal change so there was really know adjustment except where the pad hit my nose.
