Need to replace floor in my cattle trailer, will use pres treated 2 x's and do not want to bolt the boards directly to the metal frame for fear of rusting the frame out eventually. Any ideas what I can do? I guess maybe a heavy paint on the frame would help, or something I could put on the ends of the boards before I bolt down.

Just got done redoing the floor in mine. It had some rust issues, so it got repainted. The floor in mine doesn't actually attach to the trailer. The 2x's are down then a bull panel and on top of that are 2 1x6 corral boards running perpendicular to the floor. Basically the weight of the floor holds it in and the panel and 1x's keep it from moving front to back.
