Personally I would give a Bazadaise bull a try.
We'll buy Bazadaise bull, but after few years, because we'll buy it from France, so first we need to talk with our country beef cattle association that it'll be easer to find breeder. It's also be a lot of work, because there are no Bazadaise cattle in my country, so it'll be new breed here.

Charolais or Simmental would be my choice, fast growing, heavy muscle, large size. Buy Replacements and hang everything up.
Fullblood Charolais have one of the longest growth curves of any breed. This means that while they ultimately wind up large animals, it takes them awhile to get there. The infusion of the brahman blood in the American purebred Chars sure helped this.
yeah buddy,, breeding two slower maturing breeds together.... should do the trick

No one I talking about maturity. Few animals are mature when slaughtered.

When fullblood Chars were being imported in the 60s - one complaint, among many others, was their slow growth rates. Everyone knows Brahma cattle grow in spirts. From birth to weaning they are about the fasting growing breed there is. This is one of many reasons the Brahmans were selected as the primary breed in breeding up to purebred charolais status. Since you're clearly just spouting off, pick up your phone and call the Char association museum in KC, MO - they'll tell you the same.

Hey ladies! -felt my ears burning. Color doesn't matter for anyone that has a lick of marketing sense but even if you dont, you're still in luck! There are MANY solid red shorthorn herds out there to select a stabalized red, polled bull from. They grade as good as ANY.

Can you post some SH breeder websites that sell solid red polled bulls/semen? I'd really like to check them out. The bull in your pic packed some punch!
