I bought a holstein heifer calf just to keep my sole Galloway calf company. The holstein has a navel hernia. Would it be ok to have bred? Say to an angus bull? Thanks, Littlepete

Unless you have the hernia repaired, you should absolutely not breed her.
Even if you get it repaired she isn;t a good candidate for motherhood.

:welcome: Make sure it really is a hernia and not an abscess. They can be confused easily if you are just looking at them.
