There's no good 'old school' Vets anymore. Ones which work hard, not afraid to get dirty and brutally honest. Like, if there is nothing he could do he would tell us to take it home and shoot it. Instead of pumping meds and giving false hope like many do today.

Old Doc Warren finally quit practicing in his 90's. He'd make farm calls in his beat-up Bonneville (which was the size of a yacht) and kept a .223 in the trunk. He was good but didn't give false hope. If the cow was too wild to work, he'd walk away and say she's too mean to save.
