The sad thing I see is the social programs are giving many the mindset that having another child will make them better off. This is so wrong. These kids don't have a chance when they are bred just to increase the check. They are put on meds unnecessarily just so they can draw a social security check. If we treated cattle the way they treat their children the Humane Society would be all over us. Sure you have the right to have as many children as you want but you also have the RESPONSIBILITY to feed them and teach them to be assets to society instead of dregs. We need to find a logical balance between these two.

You need to work smarter and not harder. Thanks to Ronald Reagan for the free phones and expansion by GW. Now why would they want to give phones away. It was to enable people to communicate with the outside world. Have you ever applied for a job. They always ask for your Phone Number to get in touch with you. The phones given to the Iraq citizens would let them call and report any activity that could prevent ambushes. Grandson that served there said that it worked very well. I have strived all of my life to create mail box money that is money that where you have investments that pay off with dividends that come to the mail box. Look at land that sells for 3000 dollars an acre, I can invest the 3000 dollars an generate 300 dollars per year in dividends. Hard to make that with cows that requires a lot of management and worries. I am not one of the 47% that President wantabee Romney spoke about. I am just glad to be able to pay my taxes and then have enough to live as my wife and I want to live.

Okay yes it strayed, I also did a search about the mussels and muckets you posted. I found that the Forest is concerned with water quality being that is as important as air and air needs to be clean.

The fact still remains that they need to pay for their own phone I don't care what they use it for. What one man receives without working for another man works for without receiving, it's just that simple.

The mussels and muckets were are large industry at one time, over 30 tons of shells were used each year in the making of pearl buttons. What is the BNR.

Any ag business that tries to start up here get slammed by the park service most just don't get past planning. If a farmer here wants to put in chicken houses or a hog operation the park service will do its every thing it can to stop them. With the expanding of the endangered species list it will give the NPS and the EPA all the power it needs to put me and a lot of other farmers out of business. You may like them running your life I don't like them running mine.

Have you checked to see if you can qualify the land you have next to the river for a filter strip so you can be paid each year for the use of your land. This might work for you.

Thats me I live within sight of a major drainage in the BNR. NPS has for years wanted to control how many cattle we can run per acre, now they will be able to. Does that seem right to you. I am the third generation of my family to live and farm on the place I live. I am the 6th generation of my family to live in this Valley. They said the Buffalo was so pristine and beautiful that it needed protected so it became the first national river in the US. It is now so polluted they need to control us farmers in the area to save it. Just more greenie weenie bs. If they want it cleaned up limit the usage.
