Prayers for you and your family for the understanding you'll need and the healing and treatment. Let me know if you need anything

Thank you all so much, I got to visit for an hour this evening and she was still in a dark place. I came home ate supper and made phone calls to family to update them. I set down and watched a little tv and about 8pm my phone rang and she got to call to tell me good nite and said she felt alot better after she got to see me tonight. We have a long way to go. Thanks again and all of you are in my prayers tonight.

I.will update more Thursday night but she is doing good at home and making progress. Thank you all for your prayers.

Things are progressing. Thank you for prayers. We have along road and everyday will be a challenge. She is home and has intensive therapy for 5 hrs a day until Dr changes the schedule. We are setting up the monthly and quarterly check up to regulate her meds. There are alot of other changes but those will bore you. I really questioned her on the drastic change and she told me that she started talking to the other patients and she said she could feel the compassion for them returning to her. Most of the other patients had majors problems and it affected her. Her meds were changed also. Thank u for your prayer and support.

I am happy she is home with you. Sometimes those meds can mess you up too. They can work fine for a long while and then just don't, but you don't realize it. Had family went through some times that sound like yours. Happy to say it all got worked out med wise and has been great for many years.

My husbands very dear childhood friend (we have know this couple for 19 years) lost his wife last month to mental illness . She had a relapse a few years ago and they got it under control. However she had seemed a little "off, different" lately to her family and friends but she said she was doing well and not to worry. He come home from work unexpectedly , and she was unresponsive, they rushed her to the hospital and she died a few hours later . They have 3 small children and thank God she did not take them too as we had 3 cases in our area alone last year where the mother took her life as well as her children's .

I am so very glad to hear your wife is back home yet at the same time I know how very much you must have to worry about now , besides her being safe .

God bless you all and you will be in my continued thoughts and prayers

Hope all will be well M5. As Bigfoot said depression is misunderstood by many. Patience and support go a long way....

update. things are going well. I am starting to see the pretty girl I married 24 years ago coming back. she has been in intensive therapy for 7hr a day for 3 days so far and it has helped her see why she was where she was at. we had a very long and detailed discussion last night about the things that happened and the triggers. I urge the ladies on this board to look at yourself and your friends and intervene if you see things out of whack. On the outside looking in people thought she was living the dream. at the beginning on 2012 I encouraged her to not work because she didn't need too and to spend time at home and enjoying our youngest sons last few month of high school. she didn't measure this as a success instead it was he didn't need her anymore. this early this year our oldest got engaged moved out and was starting his life. again she didn't see this as a her being successful as a mother but abandonment. as I looked at her chronological list of her life it is apparent that several events over the last 35 yrs lead to this event 2 weeks ago. We still have along way to go and she is making progress. thank you again for your prayer and support.

Spoke with a guy last week about how different men and women see children growing up. He had been at a marriage conference along those lines, as theirs will all be gone in the next few years. It is such an important job for moms to be moms. The success I would see isn't always felt that way apparently. The first one leaving out of multiple may provide some relief, but the last one or two leaving is so much harder.

Wish you the best as you find new endeavors.

A dear friend of mine from high school lost her 17 year old daughter yesterday morning to suicide , she had been struggling with bi polar for years as well .
She attempted it on the 8th by running head on doing 100 km's an hour in a dodge 1/2 ton onto an on coming semi and only by the grace of God did she survive. She was bruised up pretty good but nothing serious or critical BUT she should have been kept in the hospital longer , well , you know how that works .
She killed herself successfully 10 days later . My heart breaks for her mom and dad {who btw are both war hero's} and for her little brother. How do you go on after losing a child , I cannot even begin to imagine their pain or their struggle to move on and heal .

Our mental health care system is a joke , if you are between 12 an 18 yrs old you WILL be left behind . :bang:

I hope everything is going as well as can be for you guys under the circumstances . Keeping you all in my prayers .
