Massive M-700 Recall

Haven't tried a jewel trigger but I've heard they are on par with each other. And my rifles with timneys are my favorites

Hook, is there a range of serial numbers in the recall? I have a Rem. 7mm mag. Hubby says, "it's the cheaper model, w/out the floor plate."

That would be the ADL model vs the floorplate one is the BDL

Since the difference between an ADL and BDL are basicly cosmetic, if it's in the seriel number range it would be on the recall.

Just found Remington's web page regarding the recall. If you punch in your serial no., they'll tell you whether or not your rifle is part of the recall. http://xmprecall.remington.com/

I've got three of those guns. Old to just a few years old. Wonder what the particulars are on the recall. Are they all going to Remington or to authorized gunsmiths?
I have one in 30-06 I was going to get the trigger worked on anyway, its so hard to pull I can't keep from jerking the gun, never seen a trigger that hard.

Replace it with a Timney and don't look back.

I have one 700 with the factory trigger that I REALLY like and it is on an early 90's stainless / synthetic in 7mm Mgnum. The trigger guy at the factory must have been having a great day when he put that one together. Trigger is at a crisp 3 lbs. No creep or travel. Dang near perfect. The rest of my 700's with the exception of two new ones have Timney's in them. The two new ones have X-Mark Pro triggers in them.......pieces of crap triggers.

I have a Remington varminter in 204. It has that new trigger. I freakin hate it. I love the rifle though and it's a shooter. Ahhh man so many rifles and so few days to shoot especially with this dammed broken leg. This thread is killin me Hoss.

It is an interesting read for sure in the different regions.
Amazing at some of the distances some of yall hunt from.
Bet 95% of the deer I have killed have been 50 yards or closer.
I would be trying to burn H4895 in the morning if it wasn't
for this crud or flu whatever it is.
