Lost a cow to calving.

Not sure if the calf was too big or that she fell while calving and could get up. When I found her she was laying on her stomach with her legs split apart and the calfs head sticking out. She was an angus cow and the bull a polled hereford. What do you all think happened?

If she was calving and her back got downhill,she could have suffocated.Also possible to have burst ablood vessel and bled out inside but not too likely.

Replied too quick without reading your post carefully.You said on her stomach.Forget what I said about suffocation.I have had cows go down due to slipping and "split" out but never had one loose a calf.
