Loss of a great young cattle producer

With sadness that I say the cattle producers of South Carolina lost a great individual and young cattle producer.
Daniel Jarrard died tragically on Saturday May the 5th in a single vehicle accident. Daniel was only 16 years old. Daniel was a leader in his local FFA chapter, member of the FCA at his school, an avid member of his community fire department, and not to mention an outstanding cattle showman. He just this past year won several scholarships for showmanship in the state of SC. He was member of the SC Jr. Angus Assoc. and the SC Jr. Hereford Assoc. Daniel was an outstanding young man that will be missed tremendously. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.

It's so sad to lose the young ones. Most years it seems that around graduation time there'll be one or two kids killed in car accidents locally. Such a loss.
