Longmire Canceled

Argh, we don't have Netflix and don't have enough data allowance to even think about subscribing.

I have read one of the books, the first one in the series. It was pretty good but having seen the series first, I knew what was coming and the physical descriptions of the characters was quite a bit different than the actors who play them.

I was looking through Netflix recently and saw Longmire. I recalled it from this thread and watched an episode. Now I'm already done with the first season; I really like it. I'm not sure what the dates are on the seasons. There are four seasons on Netflix. When people say it is cancelled, does that mean no more after season 4, or was season 3 supposed to be the last but it got picked up for season 4?

I come here to say I found season 4 on Netflix. I can't beat you guys...

I just watched the first episode.

The network (a&e, I think) cancelled it after season 3, but Netflix bought it as an original series for season 4.
All S4 episodes were available immediately, didnt have to wait for an episode a week. Watched the whole series last month.
I wont divulge any spoilers, but it was a good season, with some surprises and twists.....

Now that Netflix picked it up, do they plan to continue seasons beyond 4?

I saw maybe 3 episodes. What caught me long enough to like it was the setting. Wyoming. A very unique place. I lived in Casper from 1981 to 1987. There is no place like Wyoming IMO. I enjoyed the show and would watch it again if it is on.
My wife and kids and I live at the ranch in Wyoming for the better part of the summer, i agree, it's a unique place in many ways and for the most part i like it very much.
