I admit I watch TV. Further, I like TV, or some of it at least. There is a lot of trash out there. It seems like it gets trashier and trashier. Naked and Afraid – Lord Help me!

There are a number of shows I like that go too far with sex and gore, but I still watch them, and cringe sometimes, but the overall story and characters I find entertaining.

One show that I like a lot and it is clean enough to suit me. Longmire.

They canceled Longmire. It was A&E’s second most popular show. It has more viewers than Mad Men or Justified. BTW- I like both of them too. Longmire’s fate is reflective of the growing trend in the TV biz with the obsession of advertisers for younger viewers, according to today’s WSJ.

So get ready for less “good” TV (IMHO).

I hate it for you if you enjoyed it. I can stretch my imagination to see why the play shows for different demographics. I don't really shop. For them to target me with an add would be futile.

I saw something on that and hoped it was a hoax or just a contract negotiating ploy. I hope another company picks it up. It could also jump to the big screen.

A&E execs must have rocks in their heads. Although after the Duck Dynasty debacle it shouldn't surprise me.

I saw maybe 3 episodes. What caught me long enough to like it was the setting. Wyoming. A very unique place. I lived in Casper from 1981 to 1987. There is no place like Wyoming IMO. I enjoyed the show and would watch it again if it is on.

I am mad they cancelled this show was one of my favorites hope it gets picked up. I don't understand why all the marketing to young people they are all broke paying off college, or working at fast food joints out of HS, or trying to buy a house, young kids. It seems to me you would want to target 30-50 year olds they would seem to be the ones with the most money.

Nailed it!

But A&E already showed what dipwads they were with Duck Dynasty. First they were gonna be all PC and put Phil on suspension for sharing his views that got the Twitter crowd in an uproar. But when the rest of them said, no Phil, we're done, then they backpedaled all the way to the bank and reversed themselves.

I didn't know about the books until the tv series came along. I bought the first one and enjoyed it, will be reading the rest.
