Lime spreading question

I have a questions that may sound stupid. We had a soil test done on our pasture. It says among other things that we need lime. Can you spread lime on a pasture with cattle still grazing it or do we need to pull the cattle off first?

Won't hurt a thing to leave the cattle on it. The calcium might do 'em good. :lol:
