Who's disabled?Never heard anyone on the board mention it. I'm a little "gimpy" at times but not disabled, 'Yet".
 
TB my post was directed at AC,about his wise cracks that could offend alot of people here that may not can get around good for 1 reason or another.theres no need in making fun or putting people down no matter what.im not even upset with no 1 here,an i sure dont slamm people here an dont intend to.
 
I've run a 6800 I wanna say its just an older version of the 7040. It's a good tractor and the hydraulic shuttle is the cat meow. My only complaint is the cab. It was to small for my liking but, it has great visibility.

We've got a NH 95TD with loader 4wd and as sone as we got it we put fluid in the rear tires.It seems to handle what we've used the loader for just fine.Our bales are weighing in the range of 1000 to 1100lbs.This is deffinately not a big field tractor.And what with such a short wheel base it sure dont give as good a ride as the old JD4640.But it will do good at what it was designed to do.It's the cat's meow for loading and moving hay bales.
I might add the heater sure is nice in this weather. :nod:

Went and priced a m7040 at the dealer this morning. Really liked the tractor, the big platform on the open cab is nice and the cab is plenty big for me. Now just got to talk myself into buying it, I've already got the old lady's permission! :banana: :banana:

Get the hydraulic shuttle shift. What are they going for now? Seen some used ones the same year as mine asking what i paid for my new or more.
 
For 41K you can buy a 5083e John Deere with, cab and front end loader. And the John Deere weights 1,500 lbs. more, plus 10 more hp. I recieved my quote from Cullen Equipment in Dublin, Ga. you might use that quote to get a better deal on a Kubota tractor if thats what you want.
 
I haven't sat down with them and haggled with them yet. I'm gonna call another kubota caller and see what they can do on one. Plus I haven't talked with the john deere dealer yet and I'm going saturday to the massey furgerson dealer to look at them. The nh dealer is way to high! The wife said she wants the kubota so she can get a Auburn sticker to put on it. :D
 
I've got the 9540 and I really love my tractor . Looked at all of them . The deere and nh turbo charge there motors to get the horse power rating . Evident by the 16 HP drop from engine to pto . My kubota is 95 HP 87 at pto . I paid 43 k last year with 0 percent interest for 5 years . Also get 4x4, loader , and cab air . I made the mistake a few years back and talked my self out of the cab . Huge mistake sold the tractor the first year and bought a new one with the cab .,
 
Kubota is a nice tractor but there HP ratings are not the same as the Deere. The kubota uses a small block engine around 230 cubic inches, while the Deere uses a big block around 270 cubic inches. More cubic inches = more torque = more pulling power
 
On what tractors are you talking about? I just looked up Kubota 7040 and Deere 5075d, the Kubota had a 203 CI, the Deere 179CI?

You are looking at the 3 cylinder or the 5 cylinder engine. The comparable John Deere tractor starts with the 5083e and up to 5105m.The 5083 and the 7040 cost close to the same money. The 5075e does not have a very good engine its the 5 cylinder, do not buy the 5075e.
