I'm looking at buying one. With a cab and loader. Does anyone run one? What are the pros and cons?

I've never used a Kubota but sure hear a lot of good things about them. As for the loader question, see my current loader thread. :D

Mine's open platform. Little light in the rear. If was doing again would get the cast iron rear discs.
Otherwise, has done what's asked of it for five years come May.

They do seem light as does a lot of the newer tractors compared to older ones. I think mine rides a little rough. Goes good in the mud and has did everything I asked it too. Got about 600 hours on it in 3 years with a few minor problems. Pretty easy on fuel.

Did you get a open station? I was trying to remember what part of Ky you where in, curious which dealer you got it from.

im sold on kubotas, dont think ill buy anything but kubota from now own.an yes they are a tad light in the rear ends.but the loader will fix that prob.the reason they ride rough is because they are built shorter.

A loader doesn't fix them being light in the rear it makes it worse because you are adding more weight to the front end

Indeed. When I'm working with heavy loads on my loader I like another piece of equipment attached to the rear of my JD to offset the weight up front.

Kubota makes a fine tractor, but if you work it hard or abuse it you will be disapointed with it. My neighbor has a new 7040 he bought last fall. My son was harrowing a field and he came over and wanted to see if his kubota could pull my harrow. To make a long story short, he took off set it down and just went to spinning no weight = no traction.

What I call the mid-size Kubota in my mind is light in the rear. We spec'd ours with rear weights and methanol in the tires, helped a lot! The large size Kubotas are plenty competative with anything else out their in that class, i.e. M126, M110, M135. In my opinion they are way better on fuel too!

We got ours from Outdoor Power Source in Elizabethtown. We had trade-in so it's hard to figure what the price actually was. They were 3 grand better in the difference than anyone else selling Kubotas that we visited.

Time will tell but we didn't buy it to pull 4 bottom plows and 15' disks. I think it will fit quite well loading wet bales on our wrapper table.

you gotta be smart enough to have weight on the rear.
That isn't what you said you said adding a loader would help with the rear end being light
the simplest measure is buy a tractor big enough and heavy enough to do the job
AC enjoy butting heads with me,because im sure howling when i get a rise out of you.the loader on my tractor fixed the light prob.the only time its light is if your crazy enough to pick up a 1600lb 5 by 6 bale w/o having 1 on the rear.i can pick up 1 of your bales with just the loader an no weight on the rear.because im betting that you run a lil 468 baler, insted of the big 568 baler.

Wrong again I don't run JD balers and after all the discussions on balers that have been on here any idiot with half a brain in their head would realize I don't run JD balers
Don't like butting heads with you just pointing out the facts when you make idiotic remarks such a putting a loader on a tractor will solve the problem with a tractor being light in the a$$ end

adding a loader will never help make the rear end heavier
no my bales aren't 5x6 but they will weigh an avg of 900-1000lbs on grass hay and I pick up 2 of them at a time with my loader and I don't have to have any weight on the rear
a 5x6 on grass will usually only weigh 1400 and a 6x6 will weigh about1600
I bale what sells in my area if I was just baling for myself and not selling any I would run a 6x6 baler
but people don't want to pay anymore for a 5x6 than they do for a 4x5 in this area
it is just a proven fact the mid size tractors no matter what brand are too light in the back end and most of it is because they are too short
they are designed to be a utility tractor and not be used for any heavy work
JD,NH,Kubota and all the others have strived to raise the HP in these small framed tractors and have people beleive they are really getting a deal because their tractor has so much hp
take a 7710 ford it is only 86 pto hp but it will work circles around these lil light 85hp tractors they are making today

that is like putting a 454 in a S-10 chevrolet and expecting it to do the same work as a 3/4 ton chevy with a 454 it just won't do it
