We just delivered a new heifer calf.
Mama couldn't do it on her own and was already 2 days overdue
after I seen legs come out we chased around the pasture for a while got her up in the alley and got her into the chute where we could work on her.
It took everything we had to pull that calf.
My wife didn't grow up like this so you can only imagine how proud of her I was when that heifer calf come flying out and we both went down in the alley and the calf was laying on top of her.
I kept telling her good chance calf won't live and when we pulled it out I was pretty sure I was right...but we smacked it around a little bit wiped it nose off gave a little puff of air and she's sprung right to life.
The sire is a Japanese black homozygous polled
