Hope that fellow don't drive under a live oak tree pulling that trailer. Seems like something he might do.

How tough are they to hunt? Do you only get a quick shot and they scatter?

Friend of mine went on a helicopter hunt somewhere In texas with semi auto rifles.

No ferral hogs around here!

Shot one about an hour ago with a 22 Mag the other 7 or 8 scattered like quail. Put the shot back end of the rib cage so I didn't have to haul him off. Very unusual to see them in daylight, with all the creek bottoms flooded they ranging for groceries.
Neighbor got a suppressor he still just gets one or two at best even at night.
They are smart and have been highly educated.

A suppressed bullet still makes a loud whomp when it hits the side of a hog. Not to mention the squeal.

The ones here had been showing themselves right at 4pm. Maybe you are right about the flooding driving them out. I had some hunters here last week that shot a big boar. They got in the stand at 3:00 and shot it 30 minutes later. Havn't seen them back since.
