What experience does everyone have with 797? Seems like availability has limited his use although some are very high on him if they've used him.

Sure liked the females at VDAR we saw this fall. Wishing I would have picked up a few of them in their sale.

I've had around a dozen calves off him in the last 10 years, used him sparingly due to limited availability. So take that into consideration as a small sample size. Pros: can really add power to a cow, especially if she's too fine. Makes good thick females without going too extreme on height. Or bulls for that matter. Good feet. Cons: does not improve udders very much, won't wreck them but won't tighten them up much either. Can add extra teats.Rear legs are fairly sickle hocked and hocks turn in a little. They are sound though, just not 'show' cattle. I would use him a lot more if I could get him up here.
