Hi all - been a long time since I was here.
My husband Ken was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer in the spring. He lost the fight on 10/21. He actually did great all summer. Went to work throughout all the treatments. Doctor felt they had killed all the cancer, but he had numerous complications with several hospital stays (pneumonia, heart rate racing & A-Flutter, staph blood infection). The last thing was large blood clots in both lungs. With all the compromised lung tissue, his body couldn't handle it.
Our herd has been "maintained" all summer, so now, I'm trying to get back into "managing" them.
So - life goes on - one day at a time.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. It always seems it is the good people who get their lives kicked in the teeth.

I am now in Ontario - you ever want to get away for a day or two just give us a shout - we are less than 5-6 hours from you - near Ottawa. Wendy and I would be more than glad to give you a steak and a bunk and some distraction. Our place is very Beverly Hillbillies, but it is a place that is known to be warm and friendly.

You be strong and be safe. Remember this - as you stated "life goes on" - so do not be afraid to call upon friends.

Jeanne , I am so very sorry for your loss. Your post sure puts what is important in life into perspective . You are in my thoughts and prayers and may God give you strenth and comfort during this very difficult time .

Like Bez said, keep strong but don't be afraid to lean on friends and family as that is what we are here for. ♥
 
So sorry for your loss, life can hit us pretty hard sometimes. Stay strong and keep posting.
