Years ago, surveying in the swamp, I cut the head off a 5 foot rattler and set him on the tail gate. 20 minutes later, unknown to the new guy, sent him to the truck to get a tool. Thought the poor kid had a heart-a-stroke when it coiled up and rattled at him.
