Is it possible for a cow that had a baby calve 4 weeks early to still be carring another calve (twin) we had a cow have a baby last week, the baby was 4 weeks early ... did not make it... BUT the momma still looks huge~ we just noticed it yesterday that she still looks like she has a calve in there. Is this even possible?? we have never had twins but a local farmer down the road suggested maybe she had twins and just lost one early. just asking... we will get her ck'ed out if possible.

I think there was a post here a while back with a link to an article about that happening. I believe they even DNA tested to confirm.
