Have you had an success interseeding alfalfa into and exisiting red clover and grass stand? I realize red clover is very vigorous, but I am thinking about trying to seed with a no till "Haybuster" drill this fall.
(I am running over 2 stockers per acre of permenent pasture this spring, and I have not able to get on the converted crop fields I seeded down last year to a grazing mix. Plan B is to hay off the first cutting and graze the mix after that... but I am still trying to dry the extremely heavy red clover crop and have no equipment for balage. Plan C is to hit the red clover hard the summer and then interseed some alfalfa into the mix for more harvesting flexibility.)
