Insecticide Tags

I used insecticide tag last year and the really worked well but i had enough cattle to use the whole box. Now i only have half as many and will only be using 10 out of the 20 tags in the box. If i keep the left over tags in a ziplock bag or something can I use them next year? or will they not be as strong next summer?

Most brands recommend 2 tags per cow.

Yes I know, I only have 5 cows. Two per ear thats 10 tags

I thought about that but was not sure .I have wrap in plastic air tight and used next year.

Zip lock freezer bags seem to work just fine. I never keep them for a whole year tho. It seems I change about every 3 months, using a different brand, and then go back to the other.

Flies are on cows already here in TX. Not bad, but they will be soon. The mild winter probably did not help one iota.
