In the state of Arkansas you can not bring deer or elk or exotic's into the state. AGF will kill them.

It's a dilema, I'll never face, but his comments seemed like he knew who's it was, and where it belonged.

Dilema is right. I once was in shock when I saw an elk run across the cotton field. My hand went for my rifle as this thing stood in the field then I paused and thought of the only person this animal could belong to and chose not to shoot it. I called the owner and he told me he wished I had shot it and the DNR said the same. There was no way the owner was ever going to be able to get it back in the pen so shooting it was the only option. DNR was upset because they didn't want this thing out with other animals.

I think the guy had every right to kill it. Its not a domesticated animal you could simply lead back into the pen. As for their price they say some fool is willing to pay to kill something like that ... well I have a few cows these folks might be interested in buying.

I've had 3 or 4 guys show me pictures of a buck that was pen raised and got out and killed supposedly bass pro offered 100000.00 for it

I doubt that. They aren't much different than Cabelas. They will pay about the ocst of the taxidermy for a good head in good condition and little more. My Dad tried to sell a great elk mount to both companies and they treated him like shyt

Got few reports of exotic deer escaped into the wild and got shot by hunters every year. Last year someone shot a sika buck and this year it was a mule deer with ear tags. Owners and DNR wants you to shoot these exotic deer.
