Forgive me for not searching this topic. Kinda busy tonight.

I have a first calf heiffer that I think slinked her calf. Due date was about right, found after birth but no calf. Ive had premies before...don't understand it. Looked and looked. Anyhow also had a set of twins. The mom was starting to make a little bag. She did have some milk/colustroum in her. Been putting the calf on her and letting it suck 2 times a day. Been doing this since Saturday. Is there anything I can give to bring her around?

TIA

If she looks healthy just keep milking/putting calf on her.
It can take a long time if she was premature for her to come fully into milk.

Otherwise, penicillin can sometimes do wonders for new calvers with no bag :) Obviously, it only works if production is being limited by an infection. Check her temp and if she's cleaned properly.
