Vette,TB ya'll getting any of this. How about you boys with web feet CCR and JSC down south.

CB, didn't even register in the rain gauge. Some good looking stuff on radar but only a short shower around 5 pm...not even enough to make a puddle in the drive way...Put out fertilizer Thursday expecting the rain but don't know if we got enough to put any of it into the ground or not. Maybe next time. ;-)

Just came in from looking at the gauge got a little under 3". Thats a little over 6 " in the last two rains.
Last one saved us this one is going to make a real difference.

7/10ths here. Like TB said, I think we got lucky cause the radar was showing some "hot" stuff. I'm estatic we got what we did....I have water wells to water cows...and don't have all that many to water now.

Heres hoping what has turned a pale green will now start growing for a few weeks...

Been repairing the driveway most of the day, over the years I have just about wore those rocks out dragging them back up the hill. Pulled the tractor in front of the shop and noticed tree bark everywhere, lighting hit an oak behind the shop. Every breaker on the shop, old house and barn was tripped. I was worried about the two freezers and ice box in the old house they were fine. A box fan was left running in the old house the plug was blown out of the socket in pieces in the living room. Had I been taking a nap in there as I often do I would imagine it would have gotten real tight about the time that lightining hit. :hide:

Heres what my yard looks like this afternoon...Been raining off and on here since Monday- and we're nearing 2 inches....

And thats after the 2-3 inches we got the week before...
We are nearly 5 inches above normal for the year...
Rivers and creeks are flooding and have been for over a month- a lot of roads washing out again....

I heard down in the SE corner of MT-Powder River country- some areas have over 4 inches just this weekend...

Got teased again yesterday. Humid, hot, overcast...late afternoon a lot of thunder, then finally a light shower....just enough to wet the concrete on the driveway for about 5 minutes....still thundering when we went to bed....bone dry this morning. :frowns:

Well it missed us again . 3/10 at the house and 7/10 on the pastures 30 miles north of me got 4 inches . Maybe next time . I'm culling Thursday . Just can't see haying all year .

thanks guys . you know its bad when 500 acres in my area won't hold 150 head. on normal years I've had as many as 300 head on the same ground .24 inches of rain last year and 4 inches so far this year . average is around 55 inches a year I believe .
