Found this site whilst looking to make a halter to hold a stubourn calf. It is simple and easy to do. Many of my neighbours are now makeing there own after I copied this pictures and handed them out. Hope it helps.

Those are some good knots to know. My Grandfather taught me the bowline and several of the others ones years ago.

Bowline is called the King of Knots, and for very good reason. It is almost indespensible for working with cattle and other farm jobs.
